When you’re looking to create a property that really has the wow-factor, it’s vital to have the right team around you. That’s why when we meet a client, we make sure all of our recommendations are honest, clear and thorough to give them complete confidence in us from day one.
Last year while working on a property for a prominent developer, we were able to build this type of rapport from the very beginning by working with him directly. The end result? A luxury period property with a lasting impact.
Working together through the brief
The property developer came to us after purchasing a run-down period property in the beautiful town of Tunbridge Wells. To say the property was run down was an understatement, but the developer was so passionate about restoring it to glory he was happy to make a big investment.
Due to the sheer number of windows on the property, the brief was to suggest low maintenance windows of the highest quality. The windows at the front needed to enhance the traditional look of the property, with modern aluminium windows and doors offering a contrast at the rear.
Making changes to ensure the ideal outcome
Working closely with our consultants, the developer made a couple of key changes to the specifications based on our team’s expertise. Initially, he was keen to have bi-folding doors. However, we felt the Smart Visoglide Plus slimline sliding doors with a 35mm mullion would be the best option for a slimline look that would reallymaximise those gorgeous views rather than introduce vertical frames obstructing the view.
At the start, the developer was also keen to use aluminium sliding sash windows at the front of the property. However, once we explained that timber sliding sash windows would enhance the property’s traditional features, the client felt comfortable making the switch and had complete confidence in our thorough suggestions and was very grateful for that particular piece of advice.
Complete customer satisfaction – the perfect result
From start to finish, installation took three weeks. Due to the intricate nature of the old building combined with timber windows, our installers Dave, Mark and James installed the products in batches to ensure there were no hiccups. And to ensure complete symmetry, they fitted colour matched trims on all windows which added to the overall aesthetic.
The client was so happy with the end result, he asked us to fit grey aluminium bi-folding doors and windows in the outhouse building in the garden. Needless to say we didn’t need an excuse to return to this stunning property and were delighted to accept.
