This project in Kent came to us through our showroom in Kent, as many do. Walking through the Millbrook Garden Centre, where our showroom is located, they stumbled upon Georgia, our showroom manager and mentioned they were thinking about investing in new windows and a feature front door set for their home.
Initially looking at replacing their windows with uPVC windows, they were quite taken by our timber look alike windows on display in the showroom. This comprised of our Evolution Storm 2 and Flush windows as well as our Residence 9 window samples on show. They were also very taken with the English Door Company door we have on show in the ‘Nash’ design. They wanted exactly the same model for their home.
To cut a long story short, an appointment was arranged for our chap Mark to go out to site to measure up and quote the relevant options. After much discussion with the customers, including how we would match the decorative leaded glass in their top lights, we sent through a quote for an EDC front door as well as giving optional prices for both white uPVC windows and Residence 9 windows i.e. timber look alike windows. Unsurprisingly and as is often the case, the Residence 9 quote was significantly more than the uPVC quote. However, given their visit to the showroom, where they fell in love with our Residence 9 samples and of course, the English Door Company door, their minds were made up. Our timber look alike windows and doors win once again.
The order was placed, everything surveyed and ordered. Around a month later, our chaps installed everything over two days and the end result is really marvellous.
