After leaving their details with our showroom manager, we arranged for someone to attend the site to measure up. James duly went to site to find out exactly what the customer wanted, which was a super slim framed aluminium picture window in their living room. They wanted to get rid of the dated uPVC French doors that didn’t work properly that they had currently installed in the aperture. You can see in the gallery below what was originally installed – a far cry from the aluminium picture window that was to be installed.
James measured everything up and sent through a quote for the works a couple of days later. We quoted using our Smart Alitherm 600 window system with a square bead for the modern look. As is standard, we would use our Saint Gobain Planitherm Total Plus clear toughened glass with Low Emissivity glass to the inner pane.
The big decision for the customer was which colour to go for. With our aluminium windows, doors, bifolds and sliding patio doors, you can choose from any RAL colour, which can be a bit overwhelming. So, the standard Smart colour range helps somewhat by limiting the options. The toss up was between matt black (RAL 9005) and matt anthracite grey (RAL 7016), two of our most popular colours. In the end, our customer chose matt black.
Pleasantly surprised with the quote, the customer gave the go ahead and the job got passed over to our surveyor, who duly attended site for the full measure up.
Everything was ordered up and around 6 weeks later, our installer Ollie installed the aluminium picture window over the space of a morning.
