Going from initial sketch to reality with no hiccups is every renovators dream. We were able to achieve a smooth transition just like this for clients in Surrey, after first meeting at our exhibition stand at Grand Designs.
An instant connection with our team
These customers first met project consultant James at the 2016 Grand Designs exhibition in London. Bowled over with our choice of luxury products, the customers were more than happy to stretch their budget to invest in our expertise.
In particular, the customers were delighted with the slim sightline that could be achieved with Ultraline Sliding Doors. They described it as ‘the Rolls Royce’ of frameless sliding doors and felt it was ideal for creating the super-modern new build they had in mind.
Every detail bespoke to the customers’ vision
Having built up a fantastic rapport with James, the customers were quick to send us their architectural drawings after the show. Having this information made it easy to work collaboratively from the get-go and helped us to provide a bespoke quote.
It’s always important for us to go the extra mile when completing intricate home projects such as this. We therefore also provided the client with the .dwg format drawings of our products to help them envision their Grand Designs new build.
Their architect was then able to ‘drop in’ our products into the overall architectural scheme drawings. This ensured every detail was considered and every element was thoroughly planned out.
Product selection made simple
Seeing everything in such detail made choosing the right product hassle free. After working closely with our experts, the customers decided on flush floor levels and floor to ceiling glass throughout – and the most minimal sightlines possible. All easily achieved with Ultraline.
The customers were excited to create something supremely minimalistic. So of the four colours available (RAL7021 matt, RAL9005 matt, RAL7016 matt, Brushed Platinum anodised) we suggested brushed platinum. This is because it disappears into the daylight creating the effect of an even thinner sightline. It’s the little details that matter most after all…
A complex installation achieved seamlessly
Tricky tasks need specialists you can depend on, which is why these customers trusted us implicitly to complete installation to the highest standards.
Due to the difficult access issues on both the first and second floors, this job required every bit of our experience to get things done right, first time. To lift the large panes of glass we used specialist robot lifting equipment and an Oscar 600 offroad glazing robot, alongside six members of our team. This allowed us to safely and efficiently handle and move the glass units perfectly into place. The result was a seamless installation of minimal and frameless sliding doors that work together to ensure a stunning effect.
A beautiful property with ‘wow factor’ features
Seeing the property fully decorated post-installation was unforgettable.
To create harmony with the minimal design, the customers have chosen a modern colour palette which gives the property a luxurious feel. This, combined with the sleek sightlines and abundance of natural light creates the much desired ‘glass box’ illusion.
We’re so pleased we were able to bring this tranquil haven from the hectic modern world to life, and hope the customers enjoy the property for many years to come.
