This couple found us through an online Google search back in late 2013. We have only just (early 2016) received the fully finished photos through. They had just moved down from central London to the coast and had taken on a project property to renovate and extend to their taste. It wasn’t one of these properties that really looked in need of renovating, the couple just wanted to make it their own.
We attended site to measure up and took a long a Residence 9 timber effect window sample as well as a more modern anthracite grey (RAL 7016) window sample for comparison. Our RAL colour chart can be found by clicking here. After lengthy discussion in the property, the new homeowners needed time to reflect on what was clearly an important and big decision. After some time they went for the modern grey windows. As the image below demonstrates, the end result is fantastic. The case study for this installation can be found by clicking here.
Around a year after that installation we got the call to announce they were ready for the doors. The customers were clear from the start they wanted a three pane configuration on a triple track to maximise glass sizes and the view, which in turn would maximise natural light into the airy extension. It was also important that the powder coating was to a marine grade given how close to the sea the property is. Our aluminium powder coatings are marine grade as standard and come with a 25 year guarantee on the finish and colour.
After the work we had done on the front of the property, everything was ordered quickly after having been quoted and we got to surveying the opening and getting the doors made and installed. It took a few men to lift the glass but everything got done in the space of a day and the photos below speak volumes as to the transformative power of grey aluminium sliding doors, especially when combined with timber cladding.
